Time passed, episodes became more frequent, and I decided to visit my doctor. She did her best analysing, but did not have a clue what exactly was going on, but due to the palpitations, sent me to a cardiologist. Arriving there, we had a conversation in which she (the cardiologist) concluded there were two possible solutions. Either swallow a daily dose of beta blockers or have a cardiac ablation, in which they shortly freeze the nerve endings responsible for disturbing the normal pacemaker function of the heart. She said this would be a potential solution but in many cases would be a temporary fix. In essence she said that if I do not want either of those solutions, I would have to 'learn to live with it' We decided she would give me a so called 'Pill in the Pocket' for emergency cases. A beta blocker to regulate the hearth rithm.
As we were still in the dark about the causes of my troubles, we decided to do a elimination diet. We took out ingredients from our diet, and attached conclusions to the effects it had. Eventually we did find out that vegetables from the night shade family had a greater impact when I ate them. Especially spicy chilli peppers have a gauaranteed episode as a result. Again my thanks go out to another person which does his research well, namely Dr Gundry. Although as I later find out....
