Years passed, we lived, became older. At a certain point I developed periods of having fevers for no appearant reason. I thought these were probably caused by my ulcer or such, and did not pay any attention to it as I was feeling ok otherwise.
My wife and I have always been interested in the latest trends in healthy lifestyle before they became main stream trends, so we juiced, made salads and so on. For a period I used to make bread using full grain flower. Little did I know... much later I learned those seeds contain lectins, which are not to be digested. The plants which produce them simply do not want you to eat them, and cover them with layer of lectins. Younger people have a proper Microbiome, which consists of a nice blend of bacterias, and a fine layer of mucus in their intestines, which protects the body from actually trying to digest them. Instead they do help to get things flowing, and ideally end up in the feaces, not doing damage whatsoever. When the micronbiome gets disturbed, this will not be the case, which I'll explian later on.
Around my 43th year I was sitting at my desk working, when all of a sudden I felt my heart skip beats... I thought 'well, this is it, I'm done for'. Eventually I got used to having those episodes as they were very short and lasted no more than a couple of seconds to minutes.
As a long time smoker, I decided (for a third time) that I would quit smoking as this was most probably causing all of what's wrong with me. I succeeded. Unfortunately the heart rithm disturbances did still occur once in a while.
My wife and I started to analyse and investigate what the cause for those palpitations could be. Watching Dr Berg on YouTube helped me figure out my lack of Potassium and Magnesium. I started to take those as supplements for it with reasonable success. Reasonable, because the issues became less frequent, but were not entirely gone. One supplement followed another, and I figured out that glutamine helps to fix the gut barrier temporarily, which gave me a way to remediate the issues for short whiles.
